Jesse Swimm

ACTOR | SINGER | DANCER

Jesse Swimm is a NYC based actor, singer, dancer.

He has been seen on Broadway in Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins where he had the privilege of tap dancing over the rooftops as Bert, as well as an original cast member in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock the Musical. His travels have taken him all over the country in such National Tours as Mary Poppins and My Fair Lady and Internationally in Grease, A Chorus Line, West Side Story, and Guys and Dolls.

Born in Upstate NY and raised in Southern California Jesse received his BA in Musical Theatre from California State University Fullerton where he studied alongside Tony Nominated Broadway veteran Lara Teeter. Jesse made his professional debut at the age of 16 as The Artful Dodger in Oliver! at the critically acclaimed Laguna Moulton Playhouse in Laguna Beach California.

For over two decades Jesse has been residing in NYC working with some of the top creators in the industry including Tony Award Winners/Nominees Sir Matthew Bourne, Sir Trevor Nunn, Stephen Mears, Leslie Uggams, Andy Blankenbeuhler, George Faison, Randy Skinner, and Hunter Foster. He has had the privilege to work at some of the top theatre companies in the country such as The Goodspeed Opera House, The Maltz Jupiter Theatre (Carbonell Award for his role in Sweet Charity as Oscar Lindquist), Bucks County Playhouse, Tuacahn, The Cape Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre, and The Ogunquit Playhouse to name a few.

As a teaching artist, Jesse has taught at The Professional Performing Arts High School in the heart of Manhattan’s Theatre district as well as numerous theatrical institutions across the U.S. His love for arts education runs deeply in his work and he is available for coaching or as a guest speaker.
